January 13, 2021 - Greenville Federal Credit Union announced today that it is sponsoring a second “Dinner on Us” giveaway which will take place over the next two weeks. Four random winners will be drawn to each receive five $100 gift cards to five local restaurants of their choosing ($500 total value per winner) during the giveaway.

The credit union decided to sponsor “Dinner on Us” for a second time after the earlier giveaway in April of 2020 proved to be so well received and appreciated by local restaurants and patrons alike. “Dinner on Us” offers a much-needed spotlight for local restaurants across Greenville County who continue to struggle as they await a return to normal dining traffic. 

“Local restaurants are still feeling the impacts as the pandemic lingers and the need for social distancing remains,” said Paul Hughes, CEO of Greenville Federal Credit Union.  “The “Dinner on Us” giveaway helps showcase these businesses in a unique and engaging way and provides support at a critical time.”

The giveaway, administered by GVLToday, will be hosted on Instagram for two weeks starting January 13.  Anyone can enter by tagging their five favorite local restaurants and a friend in the weekly post and following the credit union.  The winners will be announced the following week and will receive $500 in gift cards. 20 restaurants will receive support through gift card sales, and multiple restaurants will be promoted over the course of the contest.

“Dinner on Us” winners can use those gift cards to order take-out, delivery – or even donate them to essential workers or a family in need.
