Greenville Federal Credit Union and The Greenville News announced Missie Mahoney Galaher as the June 2022 "Community Hero" honoree. Galaher is recognized for providing free tutoring services to children in need, and for her commitment to education equity and the improvement to the quality of life of people in her community.

The credit union is pleased to recognize Galaher for her commitment to making this community better by sharing her time and skills in tutoring children in need.
A plea for nominations. Do you know an unsung hero? Each month nominations will be collected for candidates that work in health care, public safety, education, the military, nonprofit agencies and the business world, the religious sector, entertainment or athletics. They can be a student or a young child or a retiree, etc. The selected "Hero" will be profiled in the Greenville News and receive a certificate and award from the credit union.
