Believe it or not, it’s been nearly seven years since we last updated our branches and it’s time, once again, to refresh our spaces for a better member experience. We are excited to announce we will be renovating each of our branch lobbies over the next few months to keep pace with changing member preferences, necessary maintenance, and technology improvements. Although the construction may be a little bit disruptive, we are confident that the branch improvements will be worth it.

Over the last couple of years we have seen big changes in how members prefer to manage their accounts. We have learned that most enjoy using online and mobile banking to perform simple transactional tasks like mobile deposits, account transfers, and bill payments, instead of coming to a branch. Members have told us they like the convenience of our Drive Thru services but also want more space and opportunities inside our branches to discuss their financial needs with our Member Service Representatives -- and we have been listening. Our renovation plans provide more offices and better access to fast, efficient transaction services within all our lobbies. The prudent use of technology coupled with a more organized lobby layout should provide an in-person branch experience that allows you to conduct your credit union business more efficiently, whether you need simple transactions or in-depth conversations.

Work will begin at our Pelham Road branch on Monday, August 15. All branches will remain open for business during this process, but a brief closure of the lobby may be required for member and employee safety during construction. We will strive to avoid any service issues, but we ask for your patience in advance. Look for notifications on our website and on the lobby doors.  Regardless of renovations, we recommend you utilize our online and mobile banking or our Drive Thrus as the most efficient ways to manage your accounts.

Enhancements to the Pelham Road branch will be closely followed by the Wade Hampton and Greer branches. The Mauldin branch will undergo major improvements to its parking lot and traffic lanes in addition to lobby renovations.  Once complete, every branch will offer comfortable, private consultation spaces and in-lobby transaction services, in addition to the existing safe deposit boxes, coin machines, and café areas.

Thank you for your continued support of Greenville Federal Credit Union. We will try our best to bring progress with as little disruption as possible. We are confident that you will really like what you see.
